Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Aqounta, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

Description of Service

Aqounta is an accounting tool that helps freelancers and small businesses manage their financial documents. The service includes:

  • Document management with automatic data extraction (OCR)
  • Invoice creation, PDF generation, and email delivery
  • Expense tracking and categorization

Your Account

You sign in using your Google account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Google credentials. You must not share your account or allow unauthorized access.

Data Ownership

You own all data you create in Aqounta. Your documents are stored in your personal Google Drive and remain yours. Metadata stored in our database (invoice details, company information, expense data) can be exported or deleted at any time from your account settings.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the service for any unlawful purpose
  • Upload malicious files or attempt to exploit the service
  • Interfere with the service's operation or other users' access
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer or extract the source code of the service

Disclaimer

Aqounta is currently in beta and provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. The service is under active development and features may change, be added, or be removed. While we strive for accuracy, the OCR data extraction and financial calculations should be verified by you. Aqounta is not a substitute for professional accounting advice.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Aqounta shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you have paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Termination

You may delete your account at any time from the Settings page. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these terms. Upon termination, your documents remain in your Google Drive, but your metadata will be deleted from our servers.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
